Advocacy for second chances and social justice is at the heart of SCG. We believe that post-conviction clients, particularly juveniles and younger adults serving life in confinement, deserve the opportunity to have their stories heard and considered. This belief drives the company's mitigation practice, which is focused on providing a comprehensive and humanizing presentation of the client's life history and circumstances.

Denise's leadership in the field is further exemplified by her election as Chair of the National Alliance of Sentencing Advocates and Mitigation Specialists (NASAMS) Executive Committee in 2023. Under her guidance, SCG continues to advocate for fair and just outcomes in the criminal justice system. Our commitment to social justice and second chances is reflected in our efforts to influence positive change and provide a voice for the accused.
